On the 80g ps3 you cant i repeat you cant play ps2 games on it but that doesnt really matter, i had an 360 and that is amazing untill i played my ps3 and got a whole new perspective on the 360 its may be cheap but ps3's are a step ahead!

Yes, you CAN play PS2 games on a PS3. Sony regularly update (about every week)
Sony really covered all the baes on this..... Blu-Ray built in, weekly updates (so your software can do more for you) free version of X-Box Live and the new operating system 'Life'
'Life' alone is a great reason to get a PS3, if you dont know about it, google it
