- Colourful graphics in true Manga style, complement the simplistic nature of this highly addictive game.
- You'll find it hard to put the pad down in both single player and multiplayer modes!
- Numerous characters to choose, each with their own unique abilities and style of play.
- Various game modes to test the most advanced players, including the new Fever Mode!
Simplistic and extremely good fun, the game features single player and, highly entertaining, 'can't put the controller down', multiplayer options, captured by a mix of 2D and 3D elements that become more apparent as you play. The additional fever mode adds a slightly different twist to the gameplay, providing opportunity to create a string of chain reactions that will annihilate your opponent if executed correctly. There are a manner of unusual special effects onscreen as the action speeds up, combined with a colourful, 'anime' graphical feel which complements the simplistic nature of the gameplay perfectly.

Puyo Pop Fever was previously released on Dreamcast and the series hasn't changed much since, it started life as Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on Sega Mega Drive but now instead of the fat guy and robots you've got a slightly annoying girl and some other strange characters.
It's fairly run of the mill stuff here, you've got to join up the puyo's by colour in order to make them disapear as they come down the screen, just like Columns and Bust-A-Move, the game is quite colourful and can get very fast paced but there's not enough here to keep it afloat in the sea of mediocrity, all in all it's standard stuff, so if thats what you like then give it a go, other wise there's better puzzlers available.
Works on Wii and also available on DS.
Good Game For Puzzle Fans

Puyo Pop Fever is good game for those who loves puzzle games in general, the only major downside that it seems to lack unlockables and such, but if you can get it for cheap, I'd recommend it.
Or at least, get DS/PSP/GBA versions if you can.
