I've wanted one of these since the original film was released way back in the 70's. Other replicas have either been way too expensive or way too cheap and nasty. This replica is just amazing. All metal hilt with rubber inserts, nice weight, amazing sound and a reall power-up/power-down action, and even comes with a display stand - powers off 3x AA bateries. Fantastic price. Bought this few days back and it arrived today... Superb condition and fast!!! Good one from play.com, so fun to play with, and the whole unit feels solid, with real stainless steel at the handle.... I would expect something less for the price but it is indeed very neat n fine in detail!!! Grab one before they sold them out, i missed out my darth vader saber...

Fantastic product - much research and thought went into this purchase as it was for my 6 year old son, but it's a great price for what you get. The blade lights up and turns off exactly like it does in the film! The sounds are great and I can't fault it.
Only negative point is the way that it was packaged by Play - a small silver bag wrapped round the middle, which considering it was a Christmas present kind of gave it away. I thought at least it would have been totally covered.

This is my first lightsaber however i had seen my friends version which was yoda. The yoda one is proper good so i thought i would get this one so it was different. This one is just as good. The brightness is fantastic and the colour is brilliant. The thing which i prefer about lukes is the size of the blade. Its larger and generally lookes better. Well worth £37.99, especially if your into star wars

Just like everyone else i love this lightsaber, it is astounding in every way. But no one seems to mention the fact that the hilt is metal, which just adds to the quality and truly gives it that wow! Factor. Buy it. Enjoy it!

I have only just recently come across these fx lightsabers by master replicas. I love the whole ideal and notion of star wars, but wouldnt call myself a hardcore fan. However, this lightsaber is beginning to convert me more and more to the star wars empire. The detail on the hilt is absoultely phenomenol, and its very heavy, so not really a toy, although im sure no one can resist having a proper duel with one of these beauties. The blade itself is very good also, and the sound effects are awesome. I also own a darth vader blade, but this one has much better sound effects in my opinion. The only problem I can think of is the packaging or lack of it comes. All you get is the lightsaber box itself and a bit of plastic wrapped around it. I know play.com offers free delivery, but nevertheless it is much easier for the sabers to be damaged this way. Luckily enough, my ligthsaber was fine. So, in conclusion, I would highly recommend one of these, simply because they are a great collector's item. Be quick, because the darth vader one is now out of stock on this website.

Bought light sabre for my son for Christmas. It has a great sound,sounds like a real light sabre. Great value for money,my 9yr old son loves it.

I'm not a Starwars fan by any means, but I bought this for my son for Christmas. I was astounded by how life-like this Lightsaber is. I seriously got excited the first time I put batteries in it and switched it on. It is just incredible, and I know he is going to LOVE it... my husband is jealous, so I'll definately be buying another one!!!
You can't go wrong with this product, honestly, it is so impressive. I would have paid full price for it, so I am unbelievably happy at the quality and the price!

Just got it today, bought it last week on sunday night n wow dat was quick... Yippie! I can't believe dat i finally own one... Brilliant, d saber is definitely a good buy n a god bargain too. D way it build, sound effect are brilliant. I'll be getting darth vader n yoda light saber soon ... Cant wait.. So guys better get it before its too late...
