Give evil hell!
In the final days of World War II, the Nazis attempt to use black magic to aid their dying cause. The Allies raid the camp where an occult ceremony is taking place, but not before a demon, Hellboy, has already been conjured. Joining the Allied forces, Hellboy eventually grows to adulthood under the supervision of his adopted 'father' Trevor Bruttenholm, serving the cause of good rather than evil.
When the powerful and evil Nazi figure who unleashed Hellboy suddenly reappears in modern times, he discovers that Hellboy is now working as a paranormal investigator at a secret U.S. government agency dedicated to protecting humanity from the forces of darkness. Now, Hellboy must fight to solve the riddle of his own existence and prevent the destruction of mankind...
Dark Horse Comics' popular cult superhero Hellboy makes the leap from the comic book pages to the big screen with Ron Perlman, the only actor considered charismatic enough to convey the blood-red demon anti-hero, cutting a cigar-chomping dash in the title role as Hellboy, assisted by prosthetics from 6-time Oscar winning makeup artist Rick Baker.

Apart from the fact that the film is truely superb in its own right and an accurate dipiction of the comic its based on, this 3 disc set has just about everything you could possibly want from a Directors Cut Special eddition type thing!
And for £4.99 - how the Hell can you go wrong?
Excellent collection

I bought this on a whim after getting into the comics and I was pleasantly surprised at the content of this mammoth collection. As I understand, disc 1 and 2 are the same as the regular 2-disc edition of Hellboy but it only costs a quid more for the extra 3rd disc. It comes with a little booklet that contains mostly information that is found in the second disc's 'making of' documentary so that's nothing special. But the film is most excellent, and the bonus material is what makes this really worth buying. I spent about three or four days working my way through all the discs and I still haven't finished! For a measly fiver who would say no?
Only bad thing I have to say is that it did get a little bashed in the post, but the fact that it was so much fun to watch makes up for that, and I'm not a collector, so I don't really care much.

excellent movie based on the awesome mike mignola comics, i saw this at the cinema when it first came out in 2004 and could'nt believe how spot on ron pearlman was as hb and the rest of the cast are great. i picked this 3 disc version up on playusa which had a booklet with it which was a bonus if your a fan of the comics or even a fan of popcorn cinema this will be up your street even tho it's alot more than that to me.
